What you should know about Harbour City Homes Pty Ltd
Our company is built around the idea that quality is better than quantity, and so we only tackle 23 projects at anyone time. John London founded the company in 200 after a dissatisfaction with the levels of management and professionalism in the residential building sector of Sydney. John gained his Qualification as a Carpenter in Christchurch, Fresh Zealand and focused on Residential works for the begin of his busy life. Developing his career, he then ventured in to the commercial space, occupied for mid and top tier contractors on multistory construction projects. His experience with these contractors gave him a unique insight, into not fair carpentry, but the overall Project Management (Building) field. The company was established with the vision of becoming Sydney’s maximum Professional and Steadfast residential building contractor available for Bespoke home construction. As a suited Carpenter and Project Manager, John has both the practical know how of residential building, and the managerial expertise needed for the major home building works we receive on. His 35 years of experience in the building field makes him a unique and invaluable resource when it comes to home building.
We donate services to clients at all stages of the build process whether you need plans drawn up, or if you already have plans and just need a builder. The work was of extremely high quality, done within the time we had specified and was within our budget. Planning your Construct Building and Developing in Sydney can be a daunting and long process. Our clients also wanted to renovate the inside and external of the house in order to create a more new home that would increase resale value, all the while maintaining its original cottage charm. Rather than cutting in to the site and creating optional excavation costs, we suggested the extension we stepped with the block. The owners decided to perform an extensive renovation to the existing home, as healthy as create a large, fresh living, dining and kitchen area at the fore of the home, which would encapsulate the surroundings. We asked for a number of aspects of the engineering to be revised once we had investigated the sub floor, foundations and roof structure. The fresh extension needed important excavation in to the land to provide the necessary space. The roof to the extension was particularly challenging. This unique project entailed the extension of this home over three levels at its rear. The project involved enclosing the existing balconies at the rear of the home to create larger inner rooms, and replace them with the fresh extension. In addition to this, we also created a new garage at the fore of the property that tightly integrated with the appearance and proportions of the main house. Being an older federation era home, we performed rigorous investigations in to the buildings' base and footing systems to ensure that the extensions could be supported and not impact the clever homes structure. A suspended slab was adopted for the ground floor balcony and a full timber system for the first. They needed us to detach the impaired addition, including the floors, walls and roof, and rebuild something more practical. As the clients had worked with us before, they approached us looking for a design and construct solution as they had a relatively tense budget with no room for variations to occur during the build. All these elements tied the fresh extension back in with the ingenious architecture of the house. As with all additions and extensions, the marrying of the fresh building to the used was extremely important. It was proposed that the house would have a entire makeover in finishes as well as the inner spaces. We then worked with the clients to break up the costs of each element of the build, so they were capable to priorities which works would be completed first. Another issue that continued to arise throughout this construct was a problem with damp. Upon arrival, we wanted House 34 to rouse emotions of a
